Stokke Steps – A Highchair That Grows With You
When you first become pregnant and you think about all of the things you need to buy, you may look at things such as your pushchair, car seat and furniture but often a highchair is something that is thought about later down the line. In most cases this is exactly right as many highchairs are only suitable from 6 months however Stokke completely revolutionised this idea back in 1972, firstly with the Tripp Trapp and followed by the steps.
The Stokke steps starts with the actual chair itself, with 6 different wood options to choose from and easy clean white plastic; the Steps is contemporary and timeless all at the same time. To be used from day one the Steps can be used immediately from birth and brings your little one right up to the dining room table; the heart of the home.
This is done with the Steps bouncer, a multi functional item that can be used as a floor bouncer whilst also have the functionality of clicking on to the chair bringing your baby up to eye level, involving them in meal times and family activities.
The bouncer offers a comfortable and snug place for your baby to lie and is available in 4 different colours which will be sure to complement your home interiors beautifully. You can also fold the bouncer flat super easily which is perfect for storage between uses.
Once your baby reaches 6 months old you can purchase a Baby Set which will convert your Steps in to more of a traditional highchair. This piece features a 5 point harness and an adjustable back rest that can be moved as the baby grows. There are available accessories such as cushions and a tray that are both easily removable for cleaning when necessary.
The final stage of the Steps is when the Baby Set is removed and it is used as a chair, the core of the seating system. This could be used for your child as a desk chair or even a dining room chair.
If you’re looking for a highchair that is unlike many others be sure to have a look at the Stokke Steps system, not only will it provide years of use but it will also hold a whole host of memories from your little ones childhood which is one of the reasons I absolutely love the Stokke Steps system.
