When we think of Silver Cross, most people imagine the huge coach built prams such as the Balmoral or Kensington and rightly so, as these beautiful carriages are where Silver Cross started 140 years ago! Fast forward to 2017 and we see the release of one of their lightest strollers yet; the Silver Cross Avia.
Weighing in at just 5.5kg, the Avia is obviously lightweight (the same weight as 8 iPads!) but after looking at the Avia, this pushchair still feels sturdy and of course the same excellent quality that we have come to expect from all Silver Cross products.
From birth the Avia has a full recline so that your newborn can lay comfortably and you can have ultimate peace of mind that your little one is safe with the use of the 5 point harness. The harness is really easy to use and in just one click it opens up and getting your little one in and out is also made easier by the adjustable bumper bar and lets be honest, ease is always a plus!
As well as the recline, the Avia has an adjustable footrest, padded shoulder straps and an apron that will help to keep your little one as comfortable as possible.
The recline is used on a drawstring system so you can have the seat at whichever position you wish and the roll up panel at the back on the seat offers great ventilation especially in the summer months. The hood has full UPF50+ protection to shade your baby from harmful rays and the visor can pop out to make the hood that little bit bigger.
Folding the Avia is quick and simply done by removing the safety catch and pulling the handle that is located in the middle of the seat unit. The Avia collapses into a really good size with the folded dimensions being just 68 x 51cm and to unfold the Avia, again simply just remove the locking catch and lock the Avia back into place – ta dah!
We must also take a moment to look at the colours of the Avia as they are absolutely beautiful. Henley and Eton are both colours that we have seen from Silver Cross before and look equally as stunning on the Avia too.
Shop the Avia in both Henley and Eton here and don’t forget to share your holiday snaps with us!
